How It Works

Run the water. Collect from the inlet, before the water reaches the filter. We test prefilter water only. Let cold water run from the inlet for 5 minutes before testing or collecting.

Test for chlorine. While the water is still running, dip a chlorine test strip in the stream. Wait the time printed on the strip package, then compare the color to the chart. Write the reading in Additional Notes below.

Fill the bottle. Each kit includes one bottle. Fill it from the running prefilter inlet.

Tape the lid. Wrap tape around the cap of the bottle so it can't loosen in shipping.

Fill out & print the form below. Complete the Water Sample Request form on this page, then print your confirmation.

Pack the box. Place the printed confirmation and the taped bottle inside the kit box.

Print & affix a shipping label. Generate your own label through FedEx, UPS, or USPS addressed to Omnipure (address is on your printed confirmation), and attach it to the box.

Send the package. Ship via your chosen carrier.

Get your results. We'll email you a PDF with your results within 5–7 business days.
